My opinion on this subject is YES. My advice is DO THE THING.
Snakes, like many other animals, tend to calm down and be more docile as they age. Adopting not only reduces the number of homeless animals in shelters and rescues, but it also gives you a well established pal and usually for a fraction of the cost of a similarly sized snake from a breeder. Why spend all that money on a pet snake you’re not going to be breeding when you can pay a small rehoming fee, get a snake that’s just as good, and use the rest of your dosh for fancier decor for their enclosure?
I strongly recommend a quick once-over from a reliable vet and a fecal test shortly after bringing home an adopt-a-noodle if you don’t already have a good idea of their previous situation, but that’s probably a good idea when bringing home any new animal.
